The Genevieve Dress

The Genevieve Dress is an incredible rare 'Quad' purple prairie dress that screams late 60's early 70's medieval revival! It features amazing high neck and panelled bust, trimmed with white lace. It has incredible oversized balloon sleeves tapered into lace edged cuffs. It has a tie back, synching in the waist and a zip up back. The dress is made in the UK by the brand 'Quad' and is in perfect vintage condition. 

The vintage clothing label Quad emerged in London during the late 1960s, a period often associated with experimental fashion and the city’s “Swinging London” cultural boom. Like many boutiques of that era, Quad leaned into a romantic, historically inspired aesthetic, producing garments that drew on earlier periods such as Victorian or Edwardian dress while reinterpreting them for a modern audience. This approach aligned with a broader movement in late-60s fashion, where designers rejected minimalism in favour of theatrical silhouettes, rich fabrics, and decorative detailing.

Although not as widely documented as some of its contemporaries, Quad has become a niche interest among vintage collectors today.
